So you don't fully know what model it is then mate? I remember reading a while back that the turbo 2000's run 0.7bar as standard, sti's were at 1.0bar if memory serves. Wrx' will be in-between them somewhere. Don't take this as Gospel though buddy as im no expert. Best bet would be to call a impreza specialist tuner and ask them. Or take it in and let em check it over.

We can safely say it is not a GL, sounds like a JDM - engine bay and vin plate should reveal what it is

You can't tell which model it is by how much boost it makes....lol..

Put the applied model code up along with a couple of pictures.

So what happens if it turns out to be a STI and you have a smash ?
You think the insurance company would back you up......... Nope.

You're asking if you have a STI because the car make 1.2 bar of boost just put up the applied model code and some pics and I'm sure we'll be able to tell

Who knows why, could be a number of things.
A little more boost over standard isn't the end of the world on an early car to be honest.

Defi boost gauge reads about 0.15 bar high, so its reading about right, early cars were 0.9 bar
