Default Remap?

Thinking about having a look at this:

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=252022165094

With the mods it has (listed below), I'm guessing it should've had a remap? The seller says he's not aware of it having one. Tbh, I'd probably want to put it back to standard (I'm certainly not having a car with a bov), but what I think I'm getting at, is would these mods have caused any issues (possibly in the future?) with the car if it's been running for a period of time without a remap?

Full stainless HKS High Power exhaust including decat downpipe
Toyosports up pipe
Silicone vac and intake pipes
HKS SSQ blow off valve
Panel filter

A full decat would need a remap yes.

I've been looking at classics too mate. and it seems that nice condition turbo 2000's (UK) have crept up definitely. The ones I've seen have been 3-4k....

Cheers for the response Yardz. Do you think running it without a remap may have caused any problems?

XDevill / Ste333 - Prices have gone through the roof. I sold my old one 18 months ago for £1900. To buy it back now (or one in equivalent condition) you're looking at £3k+.

This one is actually relatively "cheap" - particularly with the amount of history stated in the advert and the condition in the photos.

Quiet possibly some people get away with it. Some people blow them to pieces. Personally I would have it all mapped for the mods. it will be better for the engine life and you will gain more from it. If it was me buying the car unless it was mapped by some reputable I would steer clear.

To find a unmodified Impreza is going to be hard, even if you find a standard one it may have been modified in the past, and then had these modifications removed.

Either get it remapped or remove the mods, as for damage caused by the mods, over fuelling will be the biggest thing, but i wouldn't worry, i'd be more worried about if it had been serviced and looked after properly.

Thanks jaygsi.

To be honest - that's exactly what I thought. To find one that at some time in its past hasn't been played with is naive.

I'm gonna have a look at it on Sunday hopefully and see how it looks...
