Default Subaru WRX boost problems please help

This is my first time owning a Subaru and as such my first time on here, so before I start begging for help I thought I would get the formalities out of the way. Hello Everyone

Right now the issues I'm having!! I recently purchased a Subaru Wrx, The car is a 2005 model with a full history, The engine as I'm aware is completely std, apart from a dump valve and a prodrive rear silencer. I have owned the car for a month and the car was driving fine up until last night, I was travelling back from work when the car just seemed to loose all boost! I do not drive the car hard and let it cool down everytime after use, I took the car out today too and the car just isn't right?? There are no EML lights on the dash when running or any other problems at all, (apart from a clunking rear shock) The car drives very smooth and idles perfectly too. It just doesn't boost or if it does not properly! not the way it did a few days ago put it that way! I can hear the turbo spooling up but there is just no go. It revs properly too! I have had the intercooler off and checked all the hoses and pipes under there and they all seem fine. The prodrive intercooler Y pipe does seem a bit soft but other than that looks ok. What else can I do or where do I turn from here?? There was a very small light dusting of oil from the throttle body pipe to the intercooler and on the Y pipe but nothing to worry about. I was advised to put the std recirculating valve back on as the dump valve maybe causing the issues but this hasn't helped at all, Any help would be greatly appreciated as I dont know what else it could be??

could be a split pipe or sensor fault (dont always show up as codes) need to get it to a specialist to get it checked out

Update, I took the car to a specialist today and they took the car for a test drive and informed me the car is boosting and that is just the way the Wrx are when I said it was much quicker before he then suggested maybe it had been chipped or mapped and that it could be possible that the turbo is giving up. He advised that I should have purchased an Sti instead as the std Wrx arent very good at all. Any way I was driving back down the motorway disheartened after selling my beloved C32 Amg for a car that a bloody fiesta would win, I wasnt expecting it to be as quick as the Merc but was expecting it to be a bit better than how it is driving at the moment, anyway after doing 60 mph for a few miles the speed limit was lifted and I changed down and put my foot down and the thing flew again. It kind of misfired and just took off boosting from about 2700 and pulling like how I expect a Subaru to pull. 30odd miles later and it is pulling the same as when I brought it. So not sure??? Had the intercooler off again to check everything and all feels and looks fine. Obviously not under pressure so couldnt test properly. The specialist didnt test anything just took for a test drive.

compared to a c32 amg it will be slow mate, 350bhp vs 225.

It shouldn't be stuttering when you floor it, don't try to drive through the issue or keep boosting till it's sorted. The stuttering is possibly the ecu pulling the boost to try to save the engine form letting go.

Where did you take it to? Doesn't sound like they were a very good specialist

Hahaha I knew it wouldn't have been a match for the Merc especially as mine had 420bhp, but up until It lost boost it was a fun car and made me smile. Even with a lot less power! And to be fair to it, it is poorly at the moment so i cant really slate it.I only brought it as the wife said the merc was far to brutal to drive. So I thought something which is still sprightly but not so much of a monster lol. Not as quick I can live with, I'd rather not say where I took it but it has just been booked into my local Subaru dealer for them to look for a problem properly. It has never hesitated before and only did it once today after that it just seemed to go back to normal. Could it be a crapped up fuel filter causing some kind of starvation???

Mine had a very similar problem when I first bought it, but it was because it had mods on which were not mapped, I took it to evotune and after a remap it was a totally different car. Made 270bhp from 197 when it wasn't boosting great.

I shall get some plugs filters etc etc and give ot a good once over however it was only serviced less than 1500 miles ago and ive got receipts for plugs filters etc?? I'll clean out the maf and the solenoid and report back when I have done so. I normally only use bp ultimate but it was running low the other day and I could only find a Tesco so had to use tesco tearaway fuel! Is there a way I can find out if the car has been chipped / remap etc??? Because I have just been to test drive one of the same year at a local garage which is as it left Subaru and mine feels much much faster and boost comes it on mine at about 2700 and is stronger whereas the std ond came in a bit later. Surely just a back box wouldn't make that much difference over std?? I was told mine is std but comparing the two its obviously not either that or the other one is knackered too lol
