parts in uk by part number
#3
hat would be great , i use opposed forces to get the part numbers but when i try searching for them no luck, most good sites seem to be in america .
right now im looking for the bumper support beam part no 57760FA101 although it only goes upto 1998 nothing for upto 2000 on opposed forces.
also the diagram does look different
other things im looking for are different bolts and clips but i'll wait and order them all at the same time

Have you phoned ICP?
The GT is the same as UK spec on the opposed-forces site.
The part was first introduced in in 1998 should would not change as that is the last change before the Newage Impreza came in.

There is no UK site that provides this. However there is in Germany:
http://www.carparts-pros.com/page_1_3.php
I have used them twice and they are reliable.
They are also 10% cheaper then UK parts from dealers.
You do need to pay postage but no import duty or tax as it's EU.
Not worth the effort for a single bolt. But for lots of bits they are great.

that is looking like the easiest option , not sure how it will go with my car being a classic sti so no uk model to refer to . ill see how it goes . it would have been good if i could go to a site find the part i need and order it .
speaking to a subaru dealer over the phone trying to explain what parts i need , doesnt seem that easy .
i could go into one but then the nearest one is about 20miles away and only open when im working

the bracket that hangs down on my actual support bar is where bolt 14 in the diagram goes into so maybe just a bad diagram. also i cant see any reason why a uk turbo would have a different bar
i might have to buy it to find out , is it easy enough to return wrongly ordered parts

VPhoned ipc, the bar he can supply doesn't have the part that comes downward , he says it should do the same job though , question is what does bolt 14 in the illustration go into , how is the bottom of the bumper fixed , stuck for what to do now .
Without that bracket the bumper will only be held on by one bolt behind reg plate and a row of plastic clips along the top
Icp said I won't find the jap spec one within the UK , thought that was the point of import car parts

The lower bolts on the bumper should locate in the front beam that runs across the front of the car (part of the chassis) it will no doubt be very rusty.
It may be that some cars locate into the support beam instead hence the additional lower parts. Either way it's no biggy as those two lower bolts don't do much and you could easily knock up a bracket. I would just get the uk one and I'm sure it will be fine.
