Default About to buy, need advice please?

I've been offered a one owner, 32,000 mile 1999 UK prodrive car.
Absolutely mint, 7 stamps in the book all from main dealer.
It's up for £8000, which I know is too much, but I'd like to get an opinion on what it's it's true worth is. I can't believe there are many out there like this, so don't want to miss it, but don't want to get ripped off either.

My scooby history: new green UK prodrive car in 1998 that I spent every last penny to get.
New bug eye in 2001 UK 300 - now looking for third.
Thanks in advance, and let's hope I end up joining as an owner!

Welcome! I'm afraid I can't be of any assistance as regards to its value, but one thing I would question is: isn't seven service stamps too few for a 16-year-old car?

Depending on how mint that it really is("hard to tell without in depth pictures"),i would still say for the year and model that its still over 3K+ too rich.SJ.

Default thanks

It is perfect, but after doing some more research, I'm inagreement that it's a 5K car. Totally original and unmolested though - I REALLY wanted it.

The search continues.......

Thanks all.

£4k which is still VERY strong money for a UK Classic, £4.5k if you've just go to have it. £8k should see you in a reasonably low milage early Blob STI or the mintest of minty fresh Bug STI's, It's also sub 60k fresh import STI Type R / RA money which if you're after a Classic is a much better one to be putting that kind of money into because you'll lose nothing over the next few years.

If you paid £8k for a 32k UK Classic now you'd need to stick it in a bubble and leave it there for 10yrs to get that back.

Agree with the comments, it is overpriced and not enough service stamps for year of car. Walk away would be my advice.
