WR1 321
Hi All,
I am looking to finalise the purchase of WR1 no 321. Deposit in place and pleased with the deal as it stands. However just wanted to know if anyone has any info / history on the car? I have looked through the search on here but cant find anything.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Mate,
I have registered on there, just waiting for approval before I can post the question, I have searched the forum, the listing shows unknown.

Its not advertised on any site presently, I initially enquired into a RB320, but talking to the dealer (Who I have known for sometime) he stated he had a WR1. Went to see it straight away and got in before it was advertised.

this one has 15,000 from new with all services carried out regardless of requirement. the rb320 was the first of the special editions to be driven like a standard car in that owners from new had them and put 30k - 50k miles on them. I just think the WR1 will hold its value more than the 320 into the future. Again just my opinion. I have had 2 x sti's (55 and 06 blobs) and not had issue - hope I haven't just cursed this investment! I wont be driving it every day, just on the odd weekend to keep the miles off, and hold out for the future. Just posted to see if anyone had any info on it.

yeah, cheers guys. I can't find anything negative on the web or by calling around. Plus the dealer knew the previous owner (and carried out all the services). Roll on a week saturday, if I find out how to put pics up I will do so in due course!!

tbh i think all scoobys are driven hard - i just bought number 260 and theres pics of the car doing drifts in a car park and 1 vid of the previous owner (4+ years ago) doing 160mph on the motorway.
ive read posts where WR1 owners slagged off the car like it was a right off and every1 scare mongering about it. I went up with a specialist mechanic and he checked car out and gave me thumbs up and said it was mint.
ive had it 2 weeks now, it pulls like a train and has just been fully serviced and thorough look over by my specialist and he stands by his first impressions. the guy I bought the car off was fairly well off, just bought him self a new porshe and he obviously loved the WR1 and looked after it well, he spent 3k on it in the last 9 months.
I am very happy with my purchase tbh, and dnt think i will ever let go of this one.
My point is dnt be put off if you hear its gone over the speed limit, or whether its been seen doing doughnuts, its a subaru for crying out loud, they are all driven hard, the diff between a good example and a bad one is how well its been maintained and serviced.
just my 2cents

thanks for your reply mate, I picked up WR1 #321 on saturday, loving it! Like you say pulls like a train in every gear, eats the road and loves corners. Wonderful, especially in this weather! Best of luck with your WR1, hope we can show them off at a meet soon!

There was a WR1 for sale at the same garage i bought my bug Sti but it was 12 grand which was twice the price of the bug!
Nice motor though and hope you enjoy it.

I did see this one, perhaps someone will take it eventually! I didn't pay that much, I picked up a mint car for good money, plus a couple of tyres included in the deal. i have done 280 miles in it now, loving every minute. Mileage is at 15430 - must mean my price is Ł22995 right? :-)
