Default Track-days exhausts.

Hey all,

First off sorry if this is the wrong place.

I need some opinions/advice please. I've got a V2/3 555 WRX STi as a track car. It's been fully built, speced and mapped etc, but now I've got a problem with my exhaust.

The exhaust was blowing last week so got it welded and it turned out to be the center section is pretty much shagged and needs replacing.

I've already got a de-cat so now need a new cat back system.

So was just wondering what systems others who do regular track days are running on their Scoobs.

Please help, starting to go a little cross eyes looking at all the systems available lol.

Cheers, Si.

The Revolution catback and the Cobra trackday catback are the go-to options for keeping within trackday limits.

I've personally got afterburner decat and deresonated centre with a prodrive backbox - and that passes the noise tests too. With my TSL backbox on, it gets a little more difficult.

I have had HKS exhausts and they are always pretty good, I moved onto the Miltek exhaust which was pretty quiet for my power but you pay a premium for it.

What Db does the Miltek produce on a static test ?? My current 3" APS system which i though was fairly quiet is 102Db on static so is too loud for some track days so im looking to replace mine too but dont want to do so for the compromise of losing power fitting a bung etc.

I'm using a fujitsubo giken resonated system with a decat on my V2. It passes Brands Hatch noise testing with a few db to spare. Static 102 dB(A) Drive By 92 dB(A)
A resonated centre section is the key to keeping the noise down.

Rockingham and Donnington have a 98db static. Thruxton is 90.
Another thumbs up for the Revolution system.

Thanks for all the replies dudes.

I'll go and have a look at the Miltek system now.

I've seen the cobra systems around and have watched the videos. I like the tone of the bassier exhaust, I'm not too keen on a raspy sound.
