Scoobyworlds guagepod, problem with fitting, classic.

Bought a new guagepod from scoobyworld to my classic gc8 00 year of modell. becuse i was going to replace my old cracked one. But i have problems with the fitting and the guide provided has very poorly images. First of all when i re-use the matel bracket (the one from the lid right?), the front "lip" on the pod comes to much forward so it doesnt add up with screw holes and the screws provided are to small for the metallbracket. Any ideas anyone?
