is there really anything to discuss? 2 completely different cars.

Might as well discuss an RB5 vs RA-R

Chaps, use a little imagination...

Okay, if you require a prompt: these are two rare, highly desirable Imprezas at a roughly similar price point, targeting a similar type of discerning buyer.

The S202 is lighter, rawer, no DCCD or yaw control, and imo the more special and rare. It is almost as light as a GC8 but is built like a newage.

The MY05 Spec C has the widetrack features, DCCD-A, twin scroll.

I have not driven either and am seeking feedback and debate particularly from those who have.

Surely you jest. I would offer that most people looking for a "special" Impreza at around this price point would look at both models.

Also depends what you want it for, The blob will be faster as they need remaps for UK fuel, you`re gaining 40-50lbft more with the VF36 twinscroll setup with just a remap `v`s the S202`s VF34 and a map

Cheers Gaz, it's for cross-country driving where I suspect the twin scroll and DCCD-A will come into its own although I do wonder if I might have more fun (albeit be slightly slower) in an S202.

How about the motorsport Spec RA with its DCCD from which the S202 derived and IMO the best bug model.

I've not driven a s202, but my car is raw so I'd say a s202 should be fun tooooo

Not a bad shout for £9k before fees http://auctions.jdmauctionwatch.com/...YvTxPqURQX.htm

Problem with them for me is the lack of proper brakes, though I guess that's what modifying is for. Always thought one of these with a 2.3 (among other bits) would be absolutely incredible.

Hand on heart I don't miss the DCCD box on my S202. I simply get in and spank the **** off it, and it's awesome. People will also point out that it's single scroll, but VF34 fast spool FTW. You can still take it towards the rev limiter past 8k if that takes your fancy too...
