Default Which Coolant and how much.

Been a while since I have done a full coolant change and can't remember what the crack is with it, so as the title really what do I put in, what is the mix ratio and how much of it do I need.

Car is a 54 WRX.

I used the red comma before 7 Litres at a 50/50 mix
but have now switched to this.

I only managed to drain out 5L so this stuff went in just right.

Cheap and cheerful concentrate stuff from Halfords mixed 50/50. Never had an issue, it's only coolant at the end of the day.
Use my trade card number and they pay you to take it...lol....

My **** is orange so that should suffice, you'll have to collect though

Nah, I'm sure it dosent matter what grade as long as the mix is ok.

Well I have bought 2 litres of coolant that gives the temps it's good for dependant on the mix ratio, this stuff is good for -30 at the ratio I will be mixing it, so is that ok or should I get some more and go for 50/50.

7 litres did ring a bell earlier, but just wanted to be sure before I mix it.

I get the Prestone stuff from COSTCO, 4.5 litres is £11 if my memory is working, and I get two renewals. It's the extended life stuff and recommended for all engine types but at 150K change intervals it's now spare.

Theres nothing special about that coolant, it does everything the normal cheaper red OAT comma coolant does only the comma is a third the price.

i just use 2-3 litres of red in a full system and its good, theres no real need to mix tbh as long as youve got enough in there to stop it freezing this time of the year etc.
