Optimax is readily available in France.

In the UK you can get 98 RON from BP garages (some anyway). Check the nossle "Super unleaded 97 RON". "Super-dooper-wooper unleaded 98 RON".

I really do not know what RON optimax is....any ideas??

What is the Octane level of Shell Optimax?

Shell Optimax has the highest octane specification of any petrol in the UK. It is greater than 98 Research Octane Number (RON).

Optimax appears to be the dogs danglies then. I run Optimax now, have done for about 3 months in my M3 Evo. The first time I changed from 98 RON BP to Optimax it idled a bit weird for the first 50 miles then it sorted itself out.

STI owners - I hope you *ALL* use Optimax!!?

Thumbs up

Deano

We are also going to Le Mans in our Scoob and was wondering the same thing. Although it did seem to run well on their Super which is 98 RON.
