My STI type r said 150mph odd on the clock at donnington, power fc said 127mph.

My remapped 04 wrx would go off the clock at 160mph in Germany, but I doubt it made it much past the quoted top speed of 145mph in reality.

OP i'd get friendly with one of the Subaru specialists off here if I were you because your going to be spending a lot of time and money with them at this rate.

You should get around 140mph, Satnav will give you a better idea. I have a similar age WRX and they can't go much faster even if you're bouncing of the limiter.

Some one told me that in Japan there was a gentleman's agreement between the car folk that the skyline was to have the highest top speed and bhp but in actual fact some Subarus had more than they stated.(the b4 rsk being one)

160 on the clock is probably 144 in real speed
Long time since there has been a thread on top speed / dump valves / second hand pads ,discs / roof scoops / police arent nice people / I think it's unfair I got done at silly speed in a 30/40/60 /70

This ^ By the sounds of the way you drive it it wont last long....

Mine tops out at a real world 155 as far as I am aware.

Terminal speed on a 1/4 drag was 122 on the timing slip, speedo was reading 130+

If it is on the standard top mount, sustained high speed runs have been known to seriously knacker the engine

I'm with urban.....

A warning re running at high speeds is that the airflow over the bonnet starts missing the scoop and you end up with high inlet temps and detonation.

Why isn't my "Quote" working - now I know, urban's post and others have been removed.

Hmmmmm, anyway, not to worry.

To the OP - be careful, your comments are usually the beginning of another thread on here about engine rebuilds

You'll probably end up stranded when you blow the engine up.
