Default What's it worth?

I'm looking at buying this but just wondering as it's a garage & they always charge more! I asked what the lowest they will take he wouldn't knock a penny off! Car is a beauty but just wondering what it's really worth?

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifie...xperiment=true

Thanks

It's a nice car with reasonable milage and power plus it's desirable in white, if it's got good tyres, brakes and had a recent cambelt it's about spot on price wise from a dealer. IMO.

They don't come along too often with the above criteria, if I was after one i'd get it bought.

As Ditch says, very desirable car that and priced accordingly. You have to expect a slight premium when buying from a dealer, they have to cover the car for a minimum of three months remember so that little extra you pay should give you some peace of mind.
If thats the spec/colour you want then jump on it as you may be waiting a very long time until another comes up.

So you asked him to reduce the price without even seeing it?

If they aren't willing to budge it would be a wasted 130 mile journey

This exact car was for sale with bright yellow wheels, scoop and mirrors for £6.5k.
It was up in Manchester and as it was so cheap I gave it a miss as I thought it was too good to be true.
Garage must have seen it and snapped it up for a quick profit.
Am hoping for purely selfish reasons there was/is something wrong, otherwise I am kicking myself for not getting it at £6.5k!!!

So the dealer has had to get the parts painted and probably machine polish and full valet, refurbish the wheels and maybe give it a service. May or may not have spent around a grand, then he's giving 3months warranty and he'll make £2k for his time and trouble. Not bad and fair play to him for spotting it and jumping on it, that's what being in business is about, some you win some you lose.
