Impreza Powered Road Legal Buggy/Utillity Vehicle
Hi everyone, Another Wacky idea of mine,
Just like My previous Project of the Subaru powered Volvo 340 -
https://www.scoobynet.com/projects-4...r-project.html
I had purchased this Road registered Buggy, or most would notice its a Farm Utility vehicle:-
Since owner this little wonder, I had a friend breaking this lovely turbo2000 wagon(Rear Turret failure) which could donor all the reletive parts required to subaru power the little buggy
I have now built stands to raise buggy, Stripped all down to nothing and all ready so I can jig new suspension components:
This is where I am atm, Engine and transmission in, Jigging and aligning rear hubs to have an idea on length of the new upper and lower A arms. And route to take with mounting to the hubs.
(as you can see Ive gone with front hubs on the rear due to the front shafts, I could get custom driveshft rods made to use the outer rear CV allowing the use of rear hubs but at a cost of £350+VAT each side, Id rather this way, Looks like Ill go down line of using a VW rear caliper and custom carrier)

More updates Guys and Gals.
At the current stage the panels are off to be wrapped black and cleaning and tiding few things in the mean time, testing of all components before the serious stuff.
Gear Lever unit and Gear mechanism working very well and using a correct H-Pattern.
The rear tub is complete inc the new top mount cooler! might be fitting a fan onto it.
Seat base to be fitted along with Bucket seats and harnesses.
Now onto getting this running this weekend coming, Just missing few bits on harness then Road test. Finger Crossed
Heres some shiney and interesting bits

Great to see this animal nearing completion ,, will truly be a bring a spare pair of undercrackers cars on the test drive imo ;-)
Just a thought to keep the tub clear at the back a mad suggestion would be to mount the cooler in the roof section maybe ?
