Sod that, unless you have a lift, i'd rather whip the engine out to change the clutch, it's fairly easy. The part that some people forget is that you need to release the clutch fork before you can separate the engine from the gearbox.
Looks like you have made a good start. Do you plan to forge it whilst apart?
is wipping the engine out a pretty straight forward job?? I've not really had a good look yet is there anything i should know e.g. snags/hidden bolts?
my clutch seems to be coming to the end of its life so thinkin of wipping the engine out to do it.
Yes it is mate very easy, and i'd rather take the engine out than the gearbox having done both on the drive, you can also pop in a new set of plugs and do an oil change, cambelt, water pump and oil pump ect while it's out if you don't know when they were last done.
First time was around 4/5hrs but i took off loads that doesn't need to come off, i can do it in around 2hrs now without rushing, and **** grovelling on your back with crap falling in your eyes and p!ssing about in a tight space with large torque wrench bent over the front of the car all day, so much easier to deal with once engine is out.
Just do all your research and don't forget to prime the turbo.

ended up a forged 2.5 being built at scoobyclinic.seemed to be running fine just burning a lot of oil so bit the bullet, not until they stripped it that discovered the worse and the crank was knackered, 4 month old h/p cosworth oil pump etc.etc. the lot!!! so the bill keeps on going up.the joys of cars.good luck on your build.
