Hi,

the car is dark metallic blue:

Tailgate is very good, 3 of the doors are fine, few small parking marks, but the drivers side rear door has a more pronounced dent.

Let me know if you are interested and we can talk prices.

Cheers,
Steve

The gearbox is now out and available:

The box is a fully rebuilt and reconditioned unit purchased from API earlier this year, and has only covered 4K or so since, in a car running standard power.

Hi there!

Im interested in the gearbox as i trashed mine yesterday! When you say the box is rebuilt do you mean that it had new gears put in (oem's)? Sorry if the question is dumb! Also are you aware if the final drive will match my final drive. I think i have a 4.444. Not def sure tho.

Cheers,

Mike

Hi Mike,

sorry for the late reply.

The box is a fully reconditioned unit purchased from API in Warwickshire. It was bought on the 16th December 2008.

from what I know, API strip the gearboxes down, inspect and then replace any worn parts with new, such as syncro's broken/damaged gears etc. The box is then rebuilt with all new seals etc and gauranteed for 6 months from purchase. They are a highly repected specialist, with a great reputation.

Except for the exhaust, my car was completely standard, so the box has never been subject to any real stress, and most of the miles put on it were motorway miles. It has been run on Silkolene fully synth gear oil from installation.

I'm not sure about the final drive ratios, but I will check my diff. You could always have this off me as well if you like, I will throw this in with the price of the box if you take it at £500.

Best regards,
Steve

Hi Danny,

I will get some pics of the Momo up later. It has had the connector block for the airbag swopped for the earlier type so that it will currently plug straight into the SRS clock wiring on a pre-facelift car. I still have the original connector though, so it could be changed back.

The 4 pots complete with the discs and pads would be £225 plus shipping, or you could collect them.

Cheers,
Steve

Im after a 4.444 rear diff, the smaller cheaper one - R160. If yours is a VB...CAA then it should be the right ratio. Is it up for sale?
