Alfa 147 2.0 TS - Spares/Repairs
Hi all
This is on behalf of my neighbour, who has an Alfa 147 sat doing nothing - he saw me working on my 145 and asked if i was interested - I was tempted to take it on, but I don't really have the space (or time) for another car!
Alfa 147, 51 plate, Black with Red leather interior, 74k, no MOT or Tax, 2.0 Twinspark, Selespeed gearbox, Bose stereo, slight n/s/f wing damage and bumper needs refixing on this corner
I got it running with a jump start but it's been standing for a while and has a flat tyre and so I have not tried driving it yet. Will probably need a new battery, and the brakes are rusty. It seemed to run ok, but the check engine light was on.
Really is too good to break, but sadly probably worth more in bits than in one piece.
Photos to follow shortly...

I have to be honest mate given the lack of TAX/MOT and damage plus the fact it will probably need some attention on the brakes/servicing side it is worth no more than scrap value, maybe a touch more[200-300 tops] given what needs spending on it and what fully up together Alfa's around the same age are fetching.

Yeah, the check engine light put me off too... I'll see if I can borrow my mates OBD scanner and read the code (anyone know if the 147 is OBDII compliant?)
It really does seem too good to break, but I would consider it, reckon £500 would be easy with wheels, interior, stereo, lights and a few odds and ends... Just need to find a place to keep it for couple months in that case...

Looks like it will get weighed in soon, which seems a shame considering the bits on it.
Any offers?
Might break myself (but need a temporary garage lease in that case).
