Funnily enough a girl that works for me is a Bari Local (I am always taking the mick comparing it to Barry Island ala Gavin & Stacey) and she looked up her local newspaper online and it had a link to the same video.

You would have thought the sophisticated traction control system on the 458 would be able to cope with a bit too much throttle on a damp surface?

Or driver thought they were Alonso and turned driver aids off 

Worst I saw was a clip of a guy with a F360 at a drag strip that looked bone dry just losing it into the sidewall.

That was rather silly. But TBH I'd probably crash in one too.

Note to self.......

If I'm ever fortunate enough to own a scarlet Ferrari, leave the traction control on

That is why you don't use full throttle in the wet in a powerful RWD or rear biased AWD car whilst steering around the car you're overtaking, the oversteer is inevitable (in the 458 it looks like the driver overcorrects and then goes the other way). You wait until the front wheels are straight first, unless the traction control is so interventionalist that it will get slated by reviewers, you will need to correct your own mistakes if you are hamfisted enough to get it so horribly wrong. 40:60 F:R bias is less likely to do this, pure RWD or RWD until it slips is quite likely to, traction control or not.

This was a character called DJ Afrojack, the car had been driven off the forecourt some 45mins before the accident and within 24hours he had bought a blue one as replacement!

It's not so much the actual full throttle power, back end comes out, crash into barrier that is idiotic.

The driver needs to go take his lessons again, his merging skills are atrocious, wtf was he playing at in the first place, how did he manage to end up behind the camera car

Serves him right

I hate rich fkers who don't know how to drive. If you've got all that money to spend on a Ferrari, at least spend some pocket money on a few lessons.

TT-RS with a chip would have been much better in that situation, it would have done the overtake whilst the Ferrari was being driven perpendicular to the road.

Yeah he's some Dutch electro house/trouse DJ who's making it big on the commercial front. Was dating Paris Hilton for a bit and got her gigs DJ'ing. No love lost for the **** in the underground scene

Obviously as they wanted to video him overtaking their car.
