I have been looking at the new Cayman that was recently unveiled, and I think it sounds like a great car. I had been thinking about the 991 too, but the price is just too high for me at the moment, so maybe this is the answer. The spec I like would come in at around £58k.

What do other people think about it?

I think it looks great, and have wondered about possibly having one myself.
At the moment PSE isn't available on the configuration, which in my view is essential.

I'd wait for 12 months after launch, as there'll be great discounts available as there is with the 991.

Love the look of the one on the configurator with the part orange leather!

I think it looks gorgeous, as does the new Boxster. Both have evolved into quite magnificent looking cars with the handling to match.

On the other hand £60k is a lot of money and as Zip said I'd hang on and see if you can get a discount a bit further down the line.

Completely agree with Ding. I think the new Cayman outguns the 911 in the looks department. I also see less of these around (that might just be where I live) and it turns my head more than a 911. I would prefer a high spec Cayman to a low spec 911.

You won't see any around yet - not on sale until next March and no dealer has a demo car yet.
