Audi A5 3.0 V6 TDI
...Anyone got any in gear acceleration times for the new A5 3.0 TDI
All I can find is 250PS, 500NM and 0-62 is 5.9 Seconds...just curious...they don't seem to hang about, well the one that left me at the lights today didn't hang about..I guess 500NM of torque will help with that...but i don't think my car would have been any quicker
A nice looking motor as well IMO

I had an A6 3.0TDI for 2 days this week. The engine is mightly impressive. In gear acceleration and overtaking shove, would be had to match in most petrol driven cars.
This is the old engine though. The new BiTurbo 3.0TDI is rolling out now, and that has over 300bhp and nearly 500lb ft Torque.
Stick that engine in an A4, A5, or A6, and it'll make Audi's RS range of cars practically redundant, as the new TDI will probably accelerate quicker while returning better mpg.
If it wasn't for the fact I'm moving to within a couple miles of work in the next few months, the A5 3.0TDI was on my list when I got round to changing my current VW.

300 bhp from 3000cc isn't that impressive for a turbo car.

My chum has the v8 RS 4 and he's just bought his wife a new A5 cabrio with the new 3.0 tdi. He's convinced that it's quicker than his RS4.
I've been out in it and it's got plenty of grunt but we didn't get a chance to really give it stick. Lovely car -with the roof up you can't really tell its a cabrio even at 90mph
