Audi has pulled the skin off a rice pudding with its feistiest TT yet. The TT RS Plus is – as you’d expect – the existing RS with the wick turned up.

That sort of look with the loads of spoke and them being kind of 'machined flush/flat' actually comes from really cheap cast wheels for US and Oz muscle cars. I have no idea how this has become fashionable on Euro cars as it looks ****e. I see in on Range Rovers and stuff now too.

Soooo, £5K extra for some body bots, wheels, a remap and some recaros that really should have come fitted as standard? Asfter the RS is "supposed" to be the top of the range TT. So why keep adding extras

(even my Golf has those Recaros )

Nah. think I'll pass, ta.

£1500 is hardly expensive for the PPP. And you got more than 20bhp and kept it subtle.

US market has the 360hp engine, Europe is just catching up. No idea what Audi are thinking with those alloys

No UK price released from Audi but no way is it going to be anywhere near £55k. I suspect this will be the new order TTRS model, I doubt they will sell the 340/360 versions alongside each other. I was expecting a little more to be honest, I thought 380hp and weight reduction but its the usual crap of some fancier bits of bling and a tweak to the software.

0-100km/h in 4.1s though so 60 will just dip under 4secs.

That was back in 1999/2000, look at Subaru with the Cosworth, complete rip off.

How can it be a complete rip off if they have sold at that price?

PPP was selling for that money until the end of 2007.

To be fair, when someone ( ) gets offered a brand spanking unregistered one for £40k, then £50k does seem a bit of a rip!

The extra power is needed to offset the weight of cans of hair spray in the boot

This could be the most pointless statistic that a car maker puts out.

Firstly it massively favors AWD when on street tyres.

...and a full on launch is something most owners will never do.

It's not the be all and end all but it's not pointless. It gives a fair idea of how well you will pull away from lights to a reasonable speed. Not for drag racing with chavs btw

Don't like the wheels, the price and the fact you may as well get the normal one and get it remapped.

The most pointless statistic that a car maker puts out is its Nurburgring laptime

UK price has not been released yet, i would hope its sub £50k
