Great to see an immaculate old school car on the road, not sure I would say the same for a Ford Orion in 20 years time though.....

I know a lad a used to go to school with has a fully restored one in the same colour but with nicer wheels I actually thought it was him when I first saw it, I'll see if I can find a pic on his Facebook

<Anorak on> the wheels look like 7x13 RS 2000 Mk2 X-Pack wheels to fill out the larger arches on the X-pack model <anorak off>

The car looks superb! I worked on a lot of Mk1's mates had but owned a 1980 MiK2 RS2000 Custom in black

I love these cars.
A kiddie in my class at college (going back 18 years) had a mint one almost identicle to the car pictured at start of thread other than it had blue stripes instead of red, that he bought for his first car!. To my horror he side swipped a lamp post within a couple of weeks and wrote the car off.

love mk1 and mk2s , mk2 rs2000 - drool, saw a lovely black one at a show last year, it was like brand new
