Just been for a look round at at the 4 cars I'd shortlisted.

1.EVO x fq300
2.focus rs
3. RB320
4.Sti 330s

Took the EVO out very nice drive, dash bit plasticy

Rb didn't need to drive as had 4 scoobs already

Rs looks great but really not practical with 2 young kids

330s wasn't struck on the looks and dealer said it was the worst out of the 4 in his opinion eek

So weedled it down to the rb320 and EVO x and I really don't know which to choose stay trusted scoob but dated or go different and more mod cons ? Help !!!

Just get the RS. Best car by miles. Very roomy inside and will accommodate 2 children easily.

My friend has a RS and he couldn,t use it during last winters snow. Even discounting that, I,d still have the RB320. Steve.

Lovely car and the missus drools on them,boot was hooge but back seat area looked vey cramped and front seats would be up and down permanently

Why not add an Evo IX to the shortlist - as dated as the RB320, and no problem for 2 children. Go for a low mileage pre-21/03/06 model and save on road tax too.

Not keen on Evo's. They are more expensive to run the Subaru's, plus if going for an Evo, it would have to be a 340FQ model.

Focus RS? I like the look of them (In Blue) but 300bhp with FWD? Not for me. It would be my second choice though. But saying that if it was my money I'd be tempted to go for the Megane 250RS. Lad at work has got one, and they look quite good.

STI330s? Wouldn't touch an Impreza hatch at all. And hearing all the horror stories of 330s engines going pop........... Not for me.

Out of them all, the Focus RS has probably got the best image. Drive a Subaru of Evo now, and you `are` a chav. Tha's one of the reasons why I sold mine.

Thats one thing i liked with the evo x its not as lary looking or loud so tamed down loads from previous models.

Just been doing insurance quotes,cant believe the price hike! ive only been out of scooby ownership 2 years eek!
