Ding - GTR, Turbo S, R8, SLS, 430
The 911 is SO quick off the line but the GTR beats it by just under 3 seconds. Pretty impressive. I want a Turbo S a lot.
Better do some more work...

To be fair i wouldn't mind having any of the metal in that video parked in my garage.
I test drove the 911 Turbo before getting my GTR but that Turbo S looks like a whole new monster! Think that needs to be taken for a test drive to experience the way it looked to accelerate compared to the R8 and SLS, looks unrivaled from a dig

pretty much within a second the 911 is side by side with the R8 and that is awd and circa 530bhp too, audi is about 40kgs heavier though, but still that 911 is ballistic out of the traps

The SLS looked a right handfull.
Turbo S was so damn quick off the line. Benefits of Launch control !!
It also looked like it had tonnes of Understeer. Quite supprised how much TBH.
I think the GT-R was always going to win. It was filmed in Japan afterall.

Thats always the problem with these shootouts. 1 driver is gonna be better or more suited to his allocated car. You can control mistakes etc but then youd think that may balance out over 4 long laps.
Even at 6.22 the GTR was overtaking the 911 around the outside of the right hander. You cant argue that it easily wins bang per buck when you look at the price tags of the rest of the field.
SLS was a nightmare to keep on the track lol. The Fezza was last but sounded the best

New aero in the form of LED canard and different grill, they reckon this takes drag coefficient from 0.27 to 0.26, also slightly different rear valance. Different seats, carbon trim on the centre console. Revisions to the suspension coupled with a stiffer chassis with an increase in power output are the main differences. Also has a new launch control that gets it to 60 in 3secs

I thought I read that Nissan stopped you doing full launches or was that an internet myth or something you now pay extra to be able to do with this enhanced edition?
Btw where are you based alloy (rough area)?

Don't believe what you read, the issue with launching the car is such that you can do it as many times as you like so long as the VDC is in R mode. You can also launch the car with the VDC off however if the gearbox breaks it will not automatically be covered under warranty... to be fair the launch mode is ok but the results are pretty much identicle to just mashing the loud pedal and holding on!
