Thumbs up New Toyota FT-86 logo provides proof of Boxer Engine

from FT86club

New uncovered FT-86 logo shows the small sports coupe will have a boxer motor - with its flat horizontally opposed pistons and "86" in the middle of the logo. Its always been rumored to come with a boxer engine but this is the best proof yet

I always believed that the boxer engine existed.

Nice to have it confirmed.

Is this the fabled car that has gone from a 2010 release to 2012 and £18k to £28k and rising?

The CR-Z is Honda, the FT86 is a Toyota... so why would that make a difference?

trying to get a car to match or out do it as this new car is going to be expensive and not great with emissions.

It's aimed at a totally different market though so really wouldn't make a difference to Toyota, why would it bother them? The CR-Z is a Hatchback, the FT-86 is a sports Coupe... Besides, Toyota is the biggest car manufacturer in the world, it's never stopped them in the past.

Sure the global economy has had influence on whether to put a totally new car into production or not but I doubt a rival manufacturer's latest release will have any effect.
