Default Focus ST specs

i'm thinking of buying a Focus ST and have seen a nice blue 1 advertised for a decent price (56 plate)
What is the difference between the st1, st2, st3?
i know the st3 has full leather (i prefer cloth) but what else is different?

has anyone owned a ST and can offer any advice?

Cheers

ST1 = Basic AC, EW etc.
ST2 = As above plus Xenons, traction control and quick clear screen
ST3 = all of the above lpus leather, only 2 rear seats, better stereo

I think

Steve is correct, apart from the stereo...I think ST2 & ST3 are now the same...

On the 56 plate the stereo's are the same, but the ST3 can take 6 discs and the ST2 only 1 disc.

Don't get an ST1 if you can help it.

Great cars.

I drove a "Wolf" edition yesterday & to say i was impressed with it was an understatement. My mate had a UK300 before the ST & i prefer his new ST to it.

Which version was it sti, the Wolf (Code:Red) 285, 295 or 330?

Either way, the Wolf conversions are good.

Might be worth seeing which type of miltek is on there - the resonated one is a bit quiet. Obviously that might suit better.

I owned an ST3 for 3 years and one minor problem with the power steering. It failed when one of the hoses came loose, but I think thats been corrected by now.

They are fantastic daily drivers, and very good value - hence their popularity. If you do a lot of short journeys/stop-start driving then they drink the juice, but IMO worth it for the engine which is a gem.

Great cars.
They are ultra rare - I think I've seen one since release! IIRC they had no traction control which saves you the hassle of switching it off

Sounds to me like an ST500 which may or may not have the Wolf conversion....

well after waiting all day for the dealer to call me back (spoke to him last night and he said he'd ring me) i got a text 6 hours late to say he was out and would ring later.
I sent an email tonight to see what the situation is and he said he's sold the car!!!

I've waited all day to leave a deposit as he asked to secure the car and now he's saying he's sold it - what sort of poor buisiness practise is that??????????

well p1ssed off
