I beg to differ. That example has every option possible by the looks of it. They are £25k in standard trim.
The plant at Saarlouis which is building them is going to run at double capacity for a bit just to satisfy the first batch of orders, and Ford have taken plenty.

It'd be a struggle to spec it up to £30k even with all the options.
They are having a laugh with the paint though £695 for the Ultimate Green and £395 for the Performance Blue. At least the white is a no cost option.

Not according to the reviews
Dont listen to the reviews drive one first comment later. The same hype as the mk 1 and that was all over the place which gave you no confidence to push on.
Will be better than st,type r ,vxr, but not as quick as the sti will be on par with the wrx s.

Phoned up my local dealer yesterday, and I can get one to my spec for July/August this year.

the reviews i have seen have been on smooth roads in monte carlo (5th gear) and another one who drive the car on a flat airfield. the mk1 rs would have been fine in those conditions, it is on typical uk roads where the mk1 struggled, and we are yet to see how the mk2 performs on those same roads

I think if they keep the numbers down and don't pull a 'clio williams' then the car will hold value. In this climate though if they sell at that price they will make $hitloads of em!

"The condition (torque steer) becomes much worse on irregular road surfaces. Pull out to overtake while accelerating hard, and the Focus may dart out more quickly than you anticipated. Accelerate hard in a straight line, and the wheel will squirm in your hands, assuming a dead, stodgy feel. The sensation is not appealing and the reason why most really serious sporting cars with this much power are either rear-wheel-drive, or four-wheel-drive. It is a shame, because the Focus has inherently fine road-holding, handling and fabulous brakes, spoilt by more power than it can comfortably take.
"Changing gear is boring too, the gear lever lacking a short, crisp movement that smacks of a true competition-bred car.
"For those reasons, if you are in search of the definitive driving experience, this is not it. The new RS may be “WRC inspired” and cost £19,995, but the lack of four-wheel-drive means it falls a long way short of the real thing. Subaru and Mitsubishi get much closer to their works competition cars with the more expensive four-wheel-drive Impreza and Evo families."

That is for the old RS.
You and I know that TS doesn't exist in our descent spec ST's and its doubtful the RS will have any TS problems as well, so I guess we should just leave it at that.
