Default 500 Abarth

Just put a deposit down on one of these for the missus. Limited build of 400 per year, 200 already sold out and the car is not coming out till March 2009.

135ps from 1.4 litre Turbocharged engine should be quite nippy.

Went to look at the Fiat 500 and its a cracking looking car, hope it lives upto the pictures.

what's the ss option? Abarth are telling me there won't be many options, only 17 inch wheels, leather and climate upgrade and they won't know for sure til December

Bugger, I was confusing it with the Abarth Punto SS (Esse Esse) but a 500 SS is due out in November according to this:

Can't hold it in any longer! I'd love one of these, small, nippy, and should be huge fun, and look really cool imo. As much as i love the scoob, it's just too fast most of the time. Something like one of these were you can rag it to death and not end up doing silly speeds has an appeal to me.

Only 12 ABarth dealers nationally. Nearest to me in Bristol is Plymouth and Cardiff. Not good when you want the new toy serviced.

wouldn't have been an abarth mate they don't come out til next year. It must have been a fiat 500. Abarth take a bog standard fiat 500 and put new engine, suspension, brembos, bucket seat ect... Then badge it "abarth 500" same as alpina do with bmw.

Cool

Got a 500 recently and it's brilliant! Could do with a bit more power as mine is the 1.25l, but very economical and very pretty

I saw one broken down on the motorway a few weeks back. Commented to the Mrs that they weren't out yet, guessing it was a press fleet car.
