Default Re-mapping Audi A4 sport

hi

a mate of mine has an A4 1.8T sport ('97 or '98 i think). I've seen this is a very popular transplant engine, and while it's claimed to make 150bhp we were wondering what can realistically be got from a re-map. Can't remember the exact year but the ECU is not programable so we understand it will need a replacement.

just out of interst really!
cheers

Morego can remap it to ~195bhp for ~£500.

I had an Upsolute chip on my old MK4 Golf 1.8T - it made around 192bhp and was only £305 fitted, really felt like a different car

It was Simon Coe at CCC in chesterfield that did it

Custom code by far, are the better having owned a Revo'd Leon Cupra R and a Custom Code Audi S3. plus they are doing 30% discount at the mo too.

What do these engines go like after the remap, are they a big difference compared to stock?

What about mpg is that effected a great deal?

My Golf wasn't any worse mpg wise after the remap, maybe better but i didn't really notice.
The drive was totally different - on boost earlier and a lot stronger - felt like a different car

Got to agree felt like a different car after remap esp the Custom Code one, got to be one of the best mods for the 20v 1.8t. Fuel consumption not really changed.
