" In a separate development it seems the upcoming 2.5-litre 340 bhp TT RS will not be labeled as such. According to our source, only Porsche can use the moniker RS as suffix (one that comes after another word) in the VW Group. Audi can use it, but only as prefix, meaning in front of something else, like RS 6 or RS 4 etc. Wow, family feuds! "
Looks like we won't get a TT RS then?
We might get a RS TT though.

V8 R8 = 911 Carrera S
v10 R8 = 911 Turbo - Ferrari F430 - Lambo Gallardo.
Still haven't had a go of it yet.

Yes but it'll be close to lambo or F430 money won't it? I know what I'd rather say if someone asked what car I drove and I'd just spent £100k

People just think you're a flash B*stard in a Ferrari or a Lambo. Everyone seems to like the R8. Just like an Aston. Offends nobody, liked by all.

I really like the R8, think it's a great car, fast, well made, stylish, relatively practical, a good alternative to a 911. But if someone can afford a 430 ... would they really consider an R8, V10 or not? I surely would be straight to the Ferrari dealership without even thinking about it ... perhaps in titanium gray however, to be more discreet

Its a top car, don't get me wrong, but I just wonder how many people would rather have one at £100k over a lambo or Aston etc. TBH, if had that sort of money to spend on a car it would be an Aston (even though its not the better car) just because as you rightly said its the least 'offensive'
