Owners - Do they make a difference when selling.
Friend of mine is looking to buy a Jap Import car, however, the car has had 6 previous owners in its life, the car is approx 9 years old.
Would you buy a car with so many owners?
How hard would it to be to sell on if it had 7 owners!
History looks ok
Advise welcome....

Only fussy people worry about stuff like that, aslong as the cars genuine and in good condition with the history to prove it thats all that matters to me.

It depends on teh car. Something like an Skyline or Supra Turbo, you would expect to munch through quite few owners, as they guzzle fuel and cost alot to run and insure. Plus the kind of person that would tend to buy them would probably get bored and move on to the next performance car on their "to have" list. Thus they only get kept for a year or two.
Bentleys, Ferraris, and Astons etc are the same, I've seen many with hardly any miles and having more owners than years. People buy them, then sell them when the honeymoon period has worn off.

Quite Agree with the above (Shark Man Post)...
TBH, and keeping in line with the thread post, I think everything is relative and when purchasing a car like a scoob, I believe the owners attitude in selling a car in such a 'niche-oriented' market, the owners feedback and co-operation is vital.
I mean If I were to buy another scoob I would expect the current owner to provide me with as much info as possible relating to the car to instill confidence (not to say that the buyer go blind folded and buy on this basis - lol)
IF The car has nothing to hide and the owner is co-operative you have a higher chance of selling than if the owner was alittle ....ermmm....lets says 'un-cooperative - LOL
Just my tuppence
