Have been sent this mail at work. One of my collegues was actually involved in one of these attacks (silver lexus in Allerton), he gave chase and then helped the victim who had been beaten up.

Very worrying, what is the world coming to?

MOTORISTS WARNED TO BE ON GUARD

Bradford Police are urging motorists to be on their guard following a
series of incidents where people have had their cars stolen from them.
On January 5th, a green Rover car was involved in an accident with a black
Honda Prelude car at 7.25 am on Shipley Airedale Road. When the driver
stopped his car keys and car was stolen. The Honda has then been used in
similar incidents over the last 24 hours.

At 7.50 am yesterday in Back Lane, Clayton, the Honda Prelude,
registration number, K174 KWY, reversed into a red Volvo 440. When the
driver got out of his car, leaving his keys in the ignition, one of the
passengers in the Prelude got into the Volvo and drove away with it. There
were four Asian males in the car in their early 20s.

At 5.15 pm yesterday in Captain Street, Bradford, a woman was getting into
her Vauxhall Frontera when she was approached by a man who told her to get
out of her car and attempted to steal her keys. After a struggle the Asian
male, aged 17 to 24, wearing a dark blue baseball cap and a cream polo
neck sweater left in a silver or grey hatchback driven by a second Asian
man in a black coat.

Half an hour later the stolen Honda Prelude bumped into the back of a
parked BMW. When the driver got out of his car one of the passengers in
the Honda tried to get into the BMW. When he realised what is happening he
took his keys out of his car ignition and after a short struggle he ran
away from his car with his keys in his hand. The Honda contained four
Asian males, in their early to mid 20s, wearing dark clothing.

At 6.10 pm last night, in Allerton Road, a man was driving his
X-registered silver Lexus car home. As he approached the dual carriageway
his vehicle was struck from behind by the stolen Honda Prelude. While the
driver from the Honda started to exchange details with the Lexus driver
his keys were grabbed by a passenger from the Honda. The Lexus driver was
punched and kicked and then the offenders drove off taking both vehicles
towards Allerton

Between 05:03 and 05:40 today a green Mercedes coupe coming out of the
city was stationary in the slip road to the Dudley Hill roundabout when it
was struck from behind by a red vehicle, believed to be a Volvo saloon,
containing 4 Asian males in their mid 20s. The Driver of the Mercedes got
out of the car and walked over to the Volvo when he was attacked by the
suspects and his car keys taken by one suspect who went back to the
Mercedes. The complainant managed to retrieve the car key and run off with
the car keys, leaving the Mercedes in the middle of the road, and called
police. The suspects then got back into the Volvo and drove off in an
unknown direction.

At 8.40 am today a BMW was being driven in Girlington Road, Girlington
when he was involved in a minor collision with a silver Peugeot 406 which
was stolen from Clayton yesterday. Four Asian males got out of the Peugeot
and demanded the car keys from the driver of the BMW. An altercation takes
place and the offenders drive off with the man's car keys leaving him with
his car. Police believe people on their way to work have seen what has
happened and appealed to them to come forward. The suspects are described
as Asian males in their early 20s. One is described as 5ft 11 ins tall,
thin, wearing a beige sweater or jacket with horizontal stripes on the
sleeves.

I was told of a similar incident by a neighbour. It happened to a friend of his. I don't know if it was one of the above incidents but it was in W Yorks and the driver and passengers of the other car were Asian.

Why do you never see there stories in the news local or national??? I have my theories but I'll keep them to myself.

No probs Jerry, it was sent around work via a global e-mail so I thought I would pass it on to everyone else on the bbs. I have had the clifford anti-car jacking system on my scoob for over a year now and most people at work though it was a waste of money/flashy gimmick but someone else in the office has had it fitted to their 4 x 4 now. As my collegue said yesterday morning after helping the lexus driver "is this Bradford or the Bronx?" Is there much difference anymore?

This is really worrying.

Last Saturday I was driving up the A500 to junction 16 (m6) when a white Pug 405 pulled out into the fast lane in front of me ( he didnt need to the closest car was 3/4 of a mile away) I braked and waited 4 him to move over but to no avail. So a flashed him once but the Pug just slowed down. Anyway I overtook him (you can guess)he then tried to catch me and also repeatedly flashed his lights trying to catch me. The traffic got denser so the the Pug caught me, so I decided to pull off up a slip road, As I was aproaching the top i realised ther were a few cars at the junction so i slowed right down giving them time to go and leave the junction clear for when i got there. I then looked in rear view mirror to see the doors open on the Pug and 2 Asians get out and run towards me. At this time I floored it to get away I actually squeezed past one on the cars waiting at the junction (sorry who ever - but there was no impact). I then went round the round-about to see if I could get the registration, M382 ???
Beleive it or not they then came after me again, but clear back roads they had no chance.

Makes me think it may not have been road rage.

Good info though. If you get into a "gentle bump" accident, take a long hard look at the occupants of the other car and don't get out if you are outnumbered. Just keep the doors locked, the engine running and only open the window an inch to tell them to follow you to the nearest police station. If they start complaining, just drive off and head to the police station on your own.

Don't be an **** and start waving your club around, these days you'll probably just get a bullet in your head.

If they happen then I am shocked, I can only assume that they 'pick' their targets?? Surely to god no 4 Asians are going to ask me politely to hand my keys over? 2 of them are going to the hospital with me! the advantage is that they dont know which 2 do they??

I can only imagine that they target women and those who are of a smaller frame maybe?? I WAS going to say those with Gold Wheels (But I will refrain!!) - you could always beat them to death with your handbags!!

To those with trolley bars and such like ................ unless you KNOW how to use one AND know what it feels like to see someones blood shoot from their ears - DO NOT attempt it, ok? the shock will kill you even if the Asians do not when, and they will, take it off you!! You have just brain-damaged their mate and they now have your weapon!! FORGET IT!!!!

Oh great. I live and work in Bradford. Not for long though, once my other half has qualified in June we're out of here. I was brought up in Bradford from the age of four and the standards of the city centre and surrounding areas have dropped with what seems to be an alarmingly close relationship with the growth of the Asian community, who btw, are mainly based in and around the city center.............

PS Lewis - they don't seem to be targetting women etc as the lexus driver was a middle aged bloke I believe. There was also a scoob nicked a few week back and the male driver got his arms cut by a machete (spelling?) These people don't mind giving the drivers a good kicking and ALL of them are likely to be armed as well so please no heroics. Remember the guy who lost his life at New Year over his car, is it really worth that? As far as racism is concerned, I am not a racist, I have chinese and asian friends but some of the asian community do seem to be causing a lot of trouble these days. Another collegue of mine's father had his pub burned down the the riots of last summer, I have been subjected to racist threats and abuse and it's getting really hard not to be racist these days. Shame really because I always take people at face value not by their ethnic background. I saw a program the other week on BBC about the riots and they said Bradford has had a 3 fold increase in drug use and drug related crime in the last 5 years!!!! I'm just so glad I don't actually live here.

This is a really awkward subject and I'm glad the Scoobynet mod bods haven't pulled it !!

Until there are changes in the law to be harder on these scumbags and also so people don't get slung in prison for standing up for themselves, there's not a lot we can do about it !!

We can only hope that the government take notice and SOON !! Can't see it happening though as it'll cost them too much !!

At the end of the day, serious crime is serious crime and we must be hard on whoever commits it !! I just get so sick of the race issue coming out given half an excuse !! I'm sure that many of these people know that they have the 'race ace' up their sleeve and that the police are afraid of that !! The media really don't help either !! It gets to a point where we have to forget political correctness and use common sense !!

As hard as it may seem guys, no heroics, lets just hope that people can find enough out about them to get them caught !!

The reason they do this is because they know they can get away with it.

Even if they get caught the police won't do anything, maybe a fine which they can't afford to pay anyway and community service. Well thats really gonna deter them from doing it again.
