Default What Car?

I'm in the process of looking for a RELIABLE and ECONOMICAL (1.8 or below) car. My budget is between £1500-1700.

Is there any car out there which matches this description?

oh and it must be 4dr/5dr

Suggestions welcome

Vauxhall Vectra for something comfortable, lots of rep-mobiles around with less than 80k miles possibly find a 'Y' or 51 plate with FSH.

Not the most exciting, but parts and servicing are cheap.

I have been looking at them, but wasn't too sure about reliability. Will look at a few soon!

Volvo s40 or v40! You can get so much with the amount of money you want to spend and it will last longer then any ford!
