Small cars have really moved on
Test drove a Suzuki Swift Sport today. Nice car to drive if not the quickest in town. Great chassis.
What amazes me most is how much standard kit you get on a £10k car nowadays. It even had heated door mirrors!
Stereo was a bit dull mind you - no burble

Yup, I'm more than happy with my little Fabia vRS. 30-70 in 7s whilst returning up to 65mpg on a run. Stylish, sporty interior a nice place to sit. E/W, E/M (heated), A/C, and with minor tweeks 320ftlb

I looked at the Swift but the rear visibility was a bit too restricted for teaching (driving instructor), but they are possibly the best looking supermini currently on sale IMHO.

Not very 'swift' though in a straight line when I mullered one after he caught me up on the sweeping corner..........shame the Fabia doesn't corner as well as it shifts in-gear .

Well I got the Swift and in the twisties it has already embarrassed a couple of so called fast cars!!!
In evo magazine for the 2006 car of the year the Cayman could not lose it through the twisties now I understand why!

great car the skoda these days, a lot better style than the vw car it came from, love the octavia vrs
last at yorkshire track there was somone tracking a fabia vrs, he was all over some tw*t in an M3 i kept shouting "go on, get in there" as he came past chasing sports cars
it all ended in tears as he rolled it
the swift is a very good looking car, some on the lines look very mini like to me, i think that was there outline for it

Mine held its own on track against many Scoobs recently. I couldn't pass them, but nor them me. Lap after lap I measured my performance by judging the gaps with the cars in front and behind, and I was level with most of the high powered and 4WD stuff (except one or two serious machines) and monstered every other 2WD car there. I am still impressed with it in every way except looks and possibly the brakes. Was hunting AP's for it last night

Bought a Honda Jazz for my mum and wife to share and its a nice piece of kit. In town situations its 'faster' than my M5 because its so easy to turn/park etc. AC, electric folding heated mirrors, CD player, 7 speed flappy paddled gear box (that works well) and more for £10k.

They are a bit nose heavy, though, and the brakes don't last
