Default Mini Cooper S

The wife has decided she's had enough of her current car and fancies a Mini Cooper S.
Anyone got one, if so, comments welcome.
Nik.

I had the supercharged one and i loved the car, typical BMW build quality and it handled like a go kart. The ride was a lot firmer than my Subaru mainly due to the run flat tyres. Fuel economy is pretty poor no matter how you drive. My tattoo artist has just bought the new turbo model and he says the only difference is the fuel economy thats much better than mine.

Why do people keep saying this?
The new turbo cooper has only been out a few months, so I doubt there are many on people on here that have had any real experience of them.

When this thread was posted, this topic had been dealt with separately in a thread at the bottom of the second page - not exactly difficult to find. If people are too stupid/lazy to use the search function then this forum is going to turn into a facsimile of Scoobynet General with the same threads endlessly repeated because some muppet thinks he's come up with an original thread title.

A little advice for you...When you see a thread topic that YOU have seen before, put your brain into gear and ignore it, quite simple really.
Can you follow that? Muppet

Suggest that this whole internet thingy may be a little too stressing for you and you take your own advice about putting your brain into gear. We've explained the search function for you, someone's even been kind enough to put a link in to the other thread from less than a week ago.

Best get the manual out before you try operating that MINI because believe me, all those buttons are going to confuse you.

My mrs has an 04 Cooper and is a member of the Mini2 site.
Already there are quite a few pages on the R56 (new Mini) and it doesnt look like its getting better.
One of the main problems is bonnet alignment, the headlights now dont go up with the bonnet,so this is causing problems.

Best advise is to do some homework and look at the sites to see faults/fixes.

My philosophy is never to buy a car until it's been out a few years and they've ironed all the bugs out ( same with Windows software ).
We've got the old shape 55 plate and it's been pretty reliable - only the remote locking sensor packed up in 18 months with it so far and replaced quickly and efficiently. Still, seems to be plenty of folks with bad experiences as well
