Question HELP!! Radio Code?

Good evening all ..............

I have been a big brave boy and taken the gearbox out of the wifes Micra, had it rebuilt, fitted it again along with a new clutch ...... boy, does it drive brilliant!

Anyway - need to sell now - just preparing it tonight and I realise that the Radio is calling for a CODE

Yes, you've guessed it .......... we don't know where it is!!

Anyone help with how I can unlock it?

Thank you in anticipation of all the useful suggestions of what I can do with it! Be nice!

Stick it in the freezer, tap your heels together and say "there's no place like Sunderland"...

Actually I had the same thing with our au pair's Micra a short while ago after fitting a new distributor... the Nissan garage were able to give it to me. Either for free or for a nominal charge.

Cheers TopBanana ... will call them tomorrow.

There are places on the internet offering to sell you your CODE for £5 - how do they do that then?

Do a search on google-when i lost code on my ford radio-5 mins on search engine and i found a free program that would give you the codes-might be ones out there for a nissan.

Or just remembered what i did-i looked on folk selling them on ebay and one showed a pic of the program used-from pic i could see name of program-30 seconds later i had found it on net via google-couple mins later-voila-radio working fine

I think you need to give them the serial number off the radio Pete.I know you can buy discs on e-bay with the de- cryption programs. This happened to my wifes car and the dealer gave me the code free of charge ,when i was in getting some parts.

On my old Volvo (no jokes please) if you hit the Code incorrectly 3 times it had to be sent off for a £70 fix

I now keep all the codes on a list along with 27 PIN numbers and 43 Passwords which I am not supposed to write down

Trouble is I keep losing the list

Well, it does drive better now than it ever has and is quieter too - I reckon the gearbox bearing was on its way when we bought the car 3 years ago - but the wife does about 2500miles a year tops, so its taken this long to show itself.

Anyway, bought her a Suzuki Swift to get on with and she loves it - so, the Micra needs to go. It's only got 58,000miles on it - now has a new clutch, £30 of petrol in the tank, 5 months Tax, in excellent condition, FSH and all the old MOTs and Invoices, even 4 new tyres!!! ....... bye, bye
