Just do a little research into the name Pajero, would you want to drive such a vehicle?

Thats why I said on a run.ie motorway.

But most of my driving will be in London. that then becomes a different question!

I would say not a chance of getting 30's on a run. Have had a Nissan Terrano (OK its no Patrol but just as an example) for 10 years and it has never been near 30mpg on a run. I took it down to the alps last winter and it averaged about 24mgp on a 1200mile trip.

diesel i assume, would be suprised if you saw 30mpg out of a 2.8 4wd big heavy diesel, would have thought 20-25MPG around town, maybe 30 on a run if driven sensibly

Cheers everyone for your replies. I expect low 20's in town. But come on!! we have all driven scoobs and they ar enot much better (sometimes worse !)

I like the macho square shaped patrol (ebay end very soon) and the guy selling it seems ok. But a lady is selling her much loved 2.8 pajero (love lady owners, they now how to look after cars) but i reccon it will top £3500.00. which is my budget. Mind youit seems many are not selling at the moment??? I think her reserve is set high> but will try.

The Pajero looks a lot nicer - the Patrol does look a lot older with those little round headlights.
