1978 3.0L Capri
Been asked to try and help shift a Black 1978 (T) 3.0S Capri.
Its done 25K since new and not 125K with Ford using 5 digits - all service history since new to prove mileage etc.
Only issue is its in Fuengirola, Spain. It was driven there 10 years ago by current owners and been garaged ever since.
Apparently its not what you would call mint but is still a very nice example of the breed.
No one knows what price to put on it. I suggested I fly over there and drive it back to this country in order to sell it on. Have also asked for some pictures to be emailed to me.
Anyone???? Aren't 3.0s rare?

Am sure it's worth something, but I expect it will cost you £4-500 in ferry, fuel, motorway tolls just to get it back to the UK. Add the cost of European AA in case of breakdown, and insurance. All of that suggests the profit won't be as much as expected.
However, presumably still on British plates? Check you don't get yourself into a minefield. The rule is that a car kept in that country for more than 6 mths should have plates changed to Spanish ones - I don't know what will happen when you take it out of the country, eg if you get stopped, they might ask you to pay some grossly out-of-proportion fine for tax evasion. It can be hellish in Portugal and I believe Spain is not so different.

My old man bought Capri's when I was young. The bast one he had was a `V` reg (RPT 370V) 3.0S in White with Black roof. Loved that car.
He then had a 2.8 Special in Black, but that was knicked after 4 weeks.
