I am after some help from the SN pool of knowledge of automotive suppliers .

A colleague has a Mercedes 250SL which is a 1967 model and he desperaltely requires some help in locating a reputable suppliers / fitters of the rear plastic screen which has cracked in the cold weather.

So far he has been quoted £350 supplied and fitted, however the supplier did mention that due to the age of the vehicle potentially the soft top may need replacing if it will not take the stitching. Worst case to replace the complete soft-top including rear plastic window is £900 supplied and fitted.

So does anybody know anyone who may be cheaper, or does anyone have a un-used rear plastic glass for a merc 250SL knocking around their garage .
