Question Mazda 626 1999 vintage

Hi

friend looking to buy one of these.
I know they are not going to set the world alight however i had one for 2 months and 4k miles as a co car and it did everything OK!

she has been offered an my 99T plater 626 GLXi 2.0l manual h/b for 1500ukp.
FSH, 80k miles - new Mazda engine several 1000 miles back due to a parting of the cambelt. in good nick from a non franchise dealership 6 months warranty tax and full mot.

I would go look at it but it is 5000+ miles from me

Does the price look ok and any thoughts on Mazdas in particular this model apart from it is an old mans car.

I've got one as a workhorse, its an ok car and is perfectly reliable, done 30k miles in 7 months with only an oil change, new tires and discs.

Like you said isn't going to set the world alight but for a general day to day car it's hard to beat.

Price looks about right to me.

Good workhorse - nowt goes wrong...but they roll a ridiculous amount when cornering - very unnerving
