Girlfriend got a puncture yesterday and i took it 2 kwik fit.They told me you cannot repair a runflat goodyear nct 5 195/55/16 and nicely quoted 135 quid to replace.Is this right?totally gobsmacked at runflats.......good idea but s**t when every little puncture you get costs 135 quid!!!!!

ring round a few other places.
kwikfit told me the same for the 17" tyres on the cooper s rims, took it to another place, repaired the puncture no problem.

stinks mate. I had a new cooper s back in 2002. Got a puncture in the Pirelli run flats, 1200 miles, tyre never even went flat (I saw the nail) ATS couldn't get tyre off rim!!! My mate has a garage and would have repaired it but he couldn't get tyre off rim! BMW refused to repair it so had to get a new one £200.00!!!! Then told me I could have took tyre insurance out when I bought the car (tossers) Only good thing was i had the tyre repaired by my mate, and 6 months down the line I sold it for £75.00.

I got a puncture on the girlfriend's mini one. Its pirelli run flats on it

Took it to kwik fit and told the guy it was a run flat tyre. He said he didn't know if he could fix it, but he'd try.

10 mins later the puncture was fixed. The run flat indicator did stay on on the dash. There is a reset switch next to the handbrake to reset this though.

Weird I was told that they didnt repair run flats. This was kwit fit in Durham?

got guycomin 2 morrow from eztyres .co.uk thing.95.90 all in fitted!!!!still gutted tho.loads of tread left,think i should keep it and repair for future ?
