Well the saph just had the full 'de-rust-round-the-back-arches' only has 60k miles on it and is being offered for £4500!
Is there any problems that can occur on the 4x4 saph cossie? (weak points)

You just have to check every single body panel and see what's been replaced etc.. It's been a long time since I owned one (2wd 320bhp) crazy..

Funny you should say that! I know the owner and it appears the Passenger side door was replaced before he had it. plus the car was nicked straight out the showroom way back in 92' but was recovered obviously unmarked..

I' m thinking of a saph at the moment and the points that I have picked up are the drivetrains and transmission on the 4x4 are weak points.
Relatively cheap to tune but pricey to service.
Agree with the comments on image posted above regarding the pulsar being a bit chavy.

the transmission on the 4x4 can be a bit weak as well. If you want more fun then the pulsar is a very capable machine and cheap to tune to get big gains, however the cossie will be cheaper to repair when something goes wrong with it. Your best bet is to take a test drive of one of each and see which you prefer. I had a gtir which needed its box doing, but there are many that have no problems including 400bhp+(there is another thread going on at the moment). The acceleration on the pulsar//gtir is really awesome, try to get a uk one as it wont have aircon and so will be a little bit lighter.

I'm going to have to say its got to be the pulsar, dont know about the chavvy comment as the cossie is an essex boys car who are the king of the chavs so dont know how you could say that, but lets be honest pulsar/scoobieMK1/cossie are all getting like chavs cars now as there going cheap !!!

Sapphires are more chavvy than pulsars. Any cossie apart from the focus RS (so far) is super chavvy. It was a chavs wet dream back in the day.
