Re:Ronnie Harris Graham please post this message on the bulliten board as i can't log in my passwords not arrived"
Thanks. Its an important warning to those who have ever experienced this pathetic behavior.

I came at15.oo on Saturday and there was no sign of any body my friend and i(Myself p reg WRX) and my friend ,the lucky owner of a R33 V Spec Skyline . stayed for about ten minutes then made tracks. What happened next was rather un-funny. We decided to head into Reading to grab a bite to eat at Bar Med. We were cruising along at no more than 70-80 mph as an escort cosworth red 17 inch wheels (no rs owners badges or stickers) came flying past doing well over 140 mph.My friend who had clocked him well before me slowed upinto the inside lane and we let him pass. There were four lads in the cossie, all of around 20-25 years old and they then continued to drive like complete idiots. They started by weaving violently in and out of traffic and were cutting people up left right and centre. We came off at Reading, and so did they . They then pulled over into a lay bye and followed my friend and i into Reading. We took no notice of what they were doing and pulled over outside an off licence so my friend could get some **** . The cossie then pulled up behind us and the 4 lads got out ( Turned the cossie straight off ) which gave me an incling that he wasnt a true cossie lover. They came up to my window and started shouting at me . Being alarmed (and worried about both cars) i jumped out and confronted the blokes . They were just looking for a fight and obviously not going to let up . Two rather large blokes came out of a fish and chip shop came over to see what was going on when one of the blokes hit me in the face. I went down and in shock got back up and had a go at two of them. One lad kicked my quarter panel and the other kicked the HKS exhaust on my mates Skyline and then they got in the Cossie and drove off at a spead. The two guys that came out of the chippy saved my bacon as they pushed the others away when the passenger whacked me. I did nothing wrong and my mate came of the of-licence to see me with gushing nose spreading claret all over the raod. We got my nose sorted and got in to our cars and went home. I would just like to say that if anyone knows who this is or knows the car from the Berkshire area. Please inform them that next time . They might consider picking on someone who is not alone . Rearly Brave Lads, rearly brave . Idiots like you should be sent to an island and fed dogs s--t for life.

Bloody hell!

Didn`t get the number i suppose?

They`d probably nicked it.

Morons. They `ll probably wrap it and themselves around a tree soon if thats any consolation.

Its times like this when you wish you had a pump action shotgun in the glove.

Hpe you`re ok

ADrian.

Angry

Ive been in this situation before, there were 3 guys and 2 of them woke up 20 minutes later after confronting me, people like this should be shot on site. Very sorry to hear about this, these guys seem to fall into my age bracket, the stupidity of these people .

Take care

Harj...

Always be aware of what's going on around you & NEVER get out of the car. One day the other guy will have a knife.

Unhappy

Graham,

Sorry to hear about your misfortune-it's tw@ts like that who give people like myself (25 years old and a cosworth owner) a bad name.
Try carrying a baseball bat in the car-just make sure you've got a ball as well-should you get stopped by the law you can tell them you've actually been playing baseball. Just a thought!!

Please don't tar us all with the same brush-the majority of us are genuine enthusiasts into quick cars in general and would be more interested in having a chat than a brawl.

One possible scenario springs to mind - if the Cossie was nicked, maybe they were sussin' your cars out, in which case the two guys from the chippy may have saved your car(s) from being nicked too, aswell as any further injury.

It's impossible to give advice on a situation like this 'cos we all react differently. Personally there's no way I'd have got out of the car, but then I'm a coward. I'd be loath to leave my friend in the shop, but if I was on my own I'd probably just nail it and hope to lose them, and if I knew where I was I'd nail it in the direction of the nearest (open!) police station. This in itself has serious risks, but when you're facing a definite ugly confrontation what else can you do?

I'm sure it didn't feel it at the time, but you just may have got off lightly...

Anyway, hope you're ok and you never have to go through such a thing again.

Cheers,
Mike.

A little humourous related story.....

3 years ago in my 205 1.9 I was chased by a dodgy couple of geezers so decided to nail it.One and half miles later, when i got home, they blocked me into my drive with their car.

I decided not to get out, and locked the doors and picked up my mobile to call the cops.

Dodgy guys get out - and they are the cops, unmarked!

I didn`t know whether to laugh or cry but decided to laugh and luckiky so did they.
Gave me a semi jokey bollocking for doing nearly sixty in london (it was 3 am).

Top Cops!!

Adrian

Nick has given the best advice ANYONE could recieve. Being a coward can actually be more manly than being a hero.

Thank YOU for sharing it, Graham.

I haven't lived in the UK for six years, but have come back and bought myself a Terzo to enjoy. Maybe out here in Sussex I'm a naive country bumpkin (despite having been raised in West London) but it never occurred to me that there were such weirdos about and, should anything have happened to me like that, I'd have done nothing until too late. Now, however, reckon I'll be on the mobile pronto.

Safe driving to all!

Brendan i love those Sussex roads drive down through Petworth and on to the coast every week in the summer. If you are going to have a scooby these are the roads to drive one on . Graham.
