We have a 1969 Mach 1 Mustang (351 Windsor motor) in the family... my grandpa restored it but passed away last summer, so now my uncle has it in Arizona. It's gorgeous. http://www.copperstatemustangclub.com/carofmonth.html
Are there custom car shows in the UK? I'm pretty sure you guys are all into cars like we are, yeah?

Hello Atic, nice Mustang mate.
The scene probably isn't as big over here (even relatively) but there certainly is one.
My late Dad used to take me along to the shows and I can remember being awestruck by the quality of the work. Proper customising for the layman is an expensive business and chipping, decatting and colour coding a 4-door Jap car can proove a lot friendlier toward the wallet. For those needing a dual purpose car we also have to contend with irritants like corners and rain. I think these things have made customisation (in the traditional sense) less and less popular amongst the 20-30 brigade. It strikes me that in GB the scene is the preserve of the middle aged man with a few spare quid and a double garage although i'm happy to be corrected.
A few links below from CC Magazine for anyone interested.
