Default 330i Coupe

Been looking for a new car and almost bought an '05 2.0 WRX, however I feel these cars are about to seriously drop in value due to the 2.5. So as they are overpriced at 15K secondhand from dealers I've decided to go for something naturally aspirated and RWD.
I've seen a nice 330ci on an X plate from a main BMW dealer and have managed to negotiate a deal cutting the price from 15K to 13K. Does this sound like a good deal for a 35K mile, MY2000 car with leather, parking sensors etc? Seems a bit OTT to me when you see what's available privately. Any thoughts on the price would be appreciated.
I test drove the car and found it very deceptive ie didn't feel that quick but the numbers on the speedo said different. What are these cars like as a long term ownership prospect?

I should have added does anyone know if the car has an LSD?

My consideration would be how much teh price would be affected in a few months time when the new coupe comes out.

I think they're lovely cars, but I wouldn't consider one below a 51 plate at the very least. You could pick up a lovely example privately for the money you are talking about. There are plenty to choose from out there too.

Seems no too bad considering the mileage.....but then it is 6 years old!! I think you could get a newer car for your money!!

325 sport & 330's have LSD's as far as I know!!

A search of bmw dealers and Autotrader reveals no like for like models any cheaper. Newer cars with the full BMW apprved package seem to be more like 16K for MY2001.

I think the problem is there seem to be a lot of cars out there with the wrong spec ie no leather or just alcantara, or awful looking wood trim, 17's instead of the 18's the car needs to look decent. Guess I'm answering my own question here that spec is more important to me than a car a yr or 2 newer.

Interesting about the LSD although I'd love to know for sure.

Seems a touch pricey for a car that old. It's guess it's only at a dealer because of the low mileage. You should be able to pick up a 3yo car for £15kish with similar mileage.

The problem with 15K is that my limit is 13Kish.

I just can't seem to find any decent spec cars at the 13K mark that are any newer. Bearing in mind the car I'm looking at was reg'd Dec 2000 there is little difference between it and a MY2001 car.

If anyone can find these low mileage, decent spec manual 330ci's and link me to them it would be great. BMW have nothing on their site to match the car I've found.

The Sport model looks sooo much better than the standard 330 Ci . How about a newer 325 Ci Sport ?
