Gorgeous, even in red! I don't think I'll ever see Ruf written on dials in front of me in my lifetime

Wonderful car but is it really worth the money! Buy a 997TT when it launches and see what you can do with the difference in price.

I think its lovely too.

Guy R's Ruf GT2 has just got the record for the Vmax this weekend. Its 620bhp with no traction control ........ and on Sunday achieved 202mph at Bruntingthorpe (with 3 runs of 200+)....... RUF really are rapidly becoming the number 1 Porsche modifier IMHO.

RUF have always been No1 when it comes to Porsche modification.

Well I'd disagree... RUF had a particularly 'low quality point in the '90's' - so they may be have been the No.1 but not always in quality terms. They did a particularly nasty clutchless manual conversion on 993's which are quite frankly aweful....

No doubt now though that RUF are firing on all cylinders.!

Perhaps we are at crossed purposes here.
To try and stop this becoming a typically SN <yawn, yawn> type thread - I'll clarify one last time....

RUF may have been since time began the No1 Porsche tuner (there are suprisingly few compared to other manufacturers)....

My statement was trying (and failing) to highlight that their quality of conversions were not top drawer at one stage in their illustrious history and I have friends at garages who have told me what disasters they have tried to resuurect. They are certainly right up their in quality terms NOW.

Is that clearer ? Can we move on now ? Can we get back to the original topic - the RT12 !!!??? Christ on a bike.

Aren't RUF Brabus Alpina etc. classed as manufacturers not tuners as they change so much?

I know you can get parts for your porsche from them but the factory cars are not badged as anything but RUF?

I believe that is correct, at least with regard to Ruf.
