More than a pretty quick lap, but I am not clear what record it holds.

A production car it most certainly is not.

Hell, I'm a record holder too, I'm the fastest guy ever with a ScoobyNet username of davyboy to ever drive the ring!

If you consider what is basically a racing car with number plates and road tyres to be a road car then yes.

I think you might find that if some of the castrol cup cars started doing tourist laps they might have something to say about it though.

I never doubted it was road legal, I have seen it on track during tourist days.

But, it is an out an out race car, it never even started life as a road car. Not many road cars have sequential boxes and no handbrake........how did it even get a TUV?

I am not taking away from what is a road legal "record", but it's a strange record to try and braek. It is a race car and should be racing in the VLN (langstreckenmeisterschaft) rather than messing about on tourist days IMO and setting records that don't matter.

There is a video of a lap floating around the net somewhere.

I'm just off to set another record for black 944 owning drivers called Dave

Link to Video of a lap, rather than the lap.

Maybe a bit of setting up for the 24hr? didnt see that last time though.
Just wondered as he passed a BMW/MINI that had number pannels on it.

It would make for good practise on a tourist day with slow cars running like on the real day

Awesome race anyway, me and a few of the guys out here went VIP with Audi/Infinion last year. Looks like im not going to make a trip this season as i am still waiting on insurance money

Oh well.

Who was driving the slow scoob?

They are there pretty much every week. I say yes as there are two of them. Then turn up on a huuuuuuge transporter lorry that most race teams would be proud of.

I have to say when i've seen them on track i havent been impressed. Obviously they do have it in them though. Mind you so they should with over 600BHP.

I just hope their brakes are good on a tourist day.

I'm no expert, but looking at the video (well at least the last 2 mins anyway) it appeared that the driver was making very few corrective inputs, is that indicative of how good the driver is or how well set up the car is?I thought the lap looked very good indeed
