I have had my Hyundai Coupe F2 Evo for over 3 years now and have nearly got rid many times before. It (touch wood) hasnt cost me a bean since I bought it from 9 months old. However I have lost best part of 9/10k in the last 3 years and as I am from Yorkshire you can imagine what pain this causes me so dont really want to go into it again. I was originally thinking of a pre-reg'd Octavia from my local stealers for 12k with no miles on but although they have hefty discounts they will still drop like a stone.

I have a few cars in mind with no reason other than I like them very much.

I do have an E30 M3 that I use when I get time so unsure whether to tame down my daily driver thoughts

Elise, if you get one for 12ish it will have taken its biggest depreciation hit already and you can drive for a good few years safe in the knowledge that you could sell it for a good price.

Ditto a 968 - not many around either. There's a trade-off in maintenance costs, to be fair.
