Default England v Pakistan Test Thread

Well it's been an interesting summer so far and now we have to play Pakistan.

The team are in turmoil and the plane crash yesterday can't have helped but they did have that good innings against Australia to bouy their spirits.

Lets see what we can do...... like the shape of the team for this game. Gingerness kept to a minimum

I know you like your TMS quotes

This made me laugh

"Asif looks disgusted, like a man who's just got home from the tattooist, looked in the mirror and discovered he's had Ann Widdecombe drawn on his buttock instead of the Tottenham cockerel that he asked for."

I love the way that people get the right **** ache about the commentary not being about the cricket.

Ben Dirs and Tom Fordyce are heroes in my house

Do you remember my questioning KP in the last series and you jumping to his defence...... are you still jumping

I'm keeping quiet about Cook mind

Do you remember my questioning Cook lasting the summer he's too soft, time to man up.

KP needs to get his act together, I know he's so much better, I blame fatherhood this time

Morgan has been a revelation this summer, talk about taking your chance with both hands, and to think people questioned whether he had the skills for test cricket, I think he's answered that question

6 wickets down for 23 runs

Still, I have hope. Pakistans morning for sure but lets grab the afternoon by the horns and show them what we can do.

it's still a bit worrying when we only had 1 decent partnership.

Agreed, we need the practice and Cook and KP need to get some confidence.

I"d imagine they would make them follow on Finn needs the pracrice as i reckon he will be our most potent bowler in Oz. This is a nothing series against poor side with no direction or discipline, probably the worst wicket keeper in international cricket, he"s been that bad all year.

I heard boycotts interview on 5live, he wasn't disrespecrful still had plenty of praise for him as a person and a player, but i guess the link conveys that, spose i should read it lol

As I have said in the past there are only 4 test sides in the world these days.

Funnily enough PAK aren't one of them, what a disgrace but great to see our 3 head strike team ripping them apart, beware Aussies.....

Finn will be massive down under

Well Cook & Pietersen survive an appalling 1st test to be called up for test 2.

This is another flat wicket so can't see either of them proving anything this time either.

Pakistan really have had a torrid time and you have got to feel for them. Trouble in the team, a plane crash before the 1st test and now half the country has been flooded before the 2nd.

How many test in this series.......4

A good start to the day 37 for 6 at the moment. We should beat that even at our worst so hopefully the boys will flourish.

I'm away on holiday from tomorrow morning so won't be able to post so over to you 2

It'll be the Ashes soon so we'll be full of glory hunters

If Pakistan were better in the field England could have been 4 wickets down by now and not 69-2.Trott drop on 8 and Pieterson drop on 13.

they've just drop Pieterson again
