Hi all

heres one for you i am going touring in France with a couple of friends but a problem has arrisen one of the cars is a Porsche 996 Carrera 4 S and both the ferries and Eurostar say all cars must have a minimum ground clearance on 10cm but the Porsche has only 8.5 cm

What do we do any suggestions welcome and yes i have told him to px it for a proper car

Tell him to buy some T-cut to repair the scratches from driving onto the boat

Couple of blocks of wood in the boot to get over any 'humps' should be fine.

Pump the front tyres up, have an empty fuel tank and remove any luggage from the 'boot'. Put some tape on the bottom edge of the spoiler if you're concerned about it.

Wont be a problem - I had a C4S & went a couple of times on ferries with no probs, just take the ramps slow at a slight angle. Tape up the bottom of the spoiler with layers of tape if concerned.....if really concerned then un bolt it. Its only held on by some bolts which are fiddly but easy to remove....just a lot of hassle.

Use the tunnel ask if you can be on the ground level as ramp clearance is more forgiving.
